Young Broadcasting posts improved $747,935 net income for March

Pittsburgh, April 23 - Young Broadcasting, Inc. reported $747,935 of net income for March on $15.1 million of net operating revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The figures showed improvement over the $3.11 million net loss posted for February on $11.72 million in net operating revenues.

Young Broadcasting had $24.79 million of cash at March 31, up from $23.96 million at the end of February.

New York-based Young Broadcasting owns 10 television stations and the national representation firm Adam Young Inc. The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 13, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10645.
