Young Broadcasting reports $1.27 million net loss for December

Pittsburgh, Feb. 2 - Young Broadcasting, Inc. reported a $1.27 million net loss for December on $15.19 million in net operating revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The figures showed a decline from the $4.77 million of net income posted for November on $16.85 million in net operating revenues.

Young Broadcasting had $19.96 million of cash at Dec. 31, down from $22.16 million at the end of November.

New York-based Young Broadcasting owns 10 television stations and the national representation firm Adam Young Inc. The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 13, 2009 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10645.
