Young Broadcasting records improved, $3.83 million August net loss

Pittsburgh, Sept. 30 - Young Broadcasting, Inc. reported a $3.83 million net loss for August on $12.12 million in net operating revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
In comparison, the company posted a $4.61 million net loss for July on $11.61 million in net operating revenues.
Young Broadcasting had $20.14 million in cash at Aug. 31, up from $19.12 million at the end of July.
New York-based Young Broadcasting owns 10 television stations and the national representation firm Adam Young Inc. The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 13, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10645.
