Young Broadcasting records $1.15 million of net income for October

Pittsburgh, Nov. 25 - Young Broadcasting, Inc. reported $1.15 million of net income for October on $14.72 million in net operating revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In comparison, the company posted a $631,026 net loss for September on $13.46 million in net operating revenues.

Young Broadcasting had $20 million in cash at Oct. 31, up from $18.88 million at the end of September.

New York-based Young Broadcasting owns 10 television stations and the national representation firm Adam Young Inc. The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 13, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-10645.
