Moody’s reviews Connecticut Light

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the long-term ratings of Connecticut Light and Power Co. on review for upgrade, including its Baa1 issuer rating and A2 first mortgage bond ratings.

At the same time, the agency affirmed Yankee Gas Services Co.’s Baa1 long-term issuer rating with a stable outlook.

Moody’s said the review will focus on Connecticut Light’s financial performance going forward in respect to recent changes from U.S. tax reform as well as our view of a sustained improvement in the credit supportiveness of the Connecticut regulatory environment as evidenced by Connecticut Light’s recent rate case settlement approved by the state's Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) in April 2018.

The agency expects to conclude he review within the next 60 days.
