S&P gives A+ to Yale-New Haven Hospital, Conn., bonds

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an A+ underlying rating to the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority's variable-rate demand bonds, $54.565 million of series 2008K-1, $54.56 million of series 2008K-2, $53.635 million of series 2008L-1 and $53.635 million of series 2008L-2, all issued on behalf of Yale-New Haven Hospital.

S&P also said it assigned an A+ underlying rating to the issuer's $174.43 million of outstanding series 2008J-1 bonds issued for the hospital.

The bonds are expected to be re-rated AAA/A-1+ shortly to reflect letters of credit.

The outlook is stable.
