Xoma files $100 million shelf covering preferreds and debt securities

Chicago, Aug. 22 - Xoma Corp. registered to sell $100 million of securities in a S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Covered by the shelf filing are common stock, preferred stock, debt securities and warrants.

The securities may be issued as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes.

Xoma is a Berkeley, Calif.-based pharmaceutical company.
