W.R. Grace plan confirmation recommendation draws two more appeals

Pittsburgh, March 21 - W.R. Grace & Co.'s plan of reorganization confirmation recommendation has drawn two more appeals, according to Friday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, Anderson Memorial Hospital and AXA Belgium are the latest to appeal the bankruptcy court's confirmation recommendation.

As previously reported, the Jan. 31 ruling was also appealed on Friday by the State of Montana, the Libby asbestos exposure claimants, Maryland Casualty Co., Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, BNSF Railway Co. and Government Employees Insurance Co. and Republic Insurance Co.

W.R. Grace, a Columbia, Md.-based specialty chemicals company, filed for bankruptcy on April 2, 2001. Its Chapter 11 case number is 01-01139.
