W.R. Grace granted court OK to make $8.53 million retirement plan contribution

Pittsburgh, March 25 - W.R. Grace & Co. received court approval to make contributions to its U.S. defined benefit retirement plans due April 15, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company said it needs to make an $8.53 million contribution by April 15 to ensure compliance with minimum funding requirements.

W.R. Grace, a Columbia, Md.-based specialty chemicals company, filed for bankruptcy on April 2, 2001. Its Chapter 11 case number is 01-01139.
