International Finance plans five-year benchmark note issue

New York, April 7 - International Finance Corp. announced plans Tuesday for a benchmark offering of five-year global notes, a market source said.

The notes (Aaa/AAA/) will be launched subject to market conditions, with pricing expected after the Easter holiday.

BNP Paribas Securities, HSBC Securities and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. were tapped as bookrunners.

The private sector arm of the World Bank Group, which provides investment in developing countries, is based in Washington, D.C.
