S&P lifts Wisconsin Public Power debt to A+

Standard & Poor's said it raised its rating to A+ from A on Wisconsin Public Power Inc. (WPPI)'s power system supply revenue debt.

The outlook is stable.

S&P also said it assigned an A+ rating and stable outlook to WPPI's $234.685 million of power system supply revenue bonds, series 2008.

The upgrade reflects WPPI's all-requirements contracts (with implied unlimited step-up) with a deep membership base, record of strong debt service coverage and liquidity, and the improved credit quality of WPPI's members.
