S&P drops Wisconsin Energy view to stable

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on Wisconsin Energy Corp. and its subsidiaries, Wisconsin Electric Power Co. and Wisconsin Gas LLC, to stable from positive.

The agency also said it affirmed the A- corporate credit and A-2 short-term ratings on Wisconsin Energy and the subsidiaries.

S&P also said it revised the outlook on Wisconsin Energy Capital Corp. to stable from positive and affirmed its A- corporate credit rating.

The ratings reflect the company's excellent business risk profile and consolidated financial measures that are consistent with a significant financial risk profile, the agency said.

The company also demonstrated a good record of operational performance, completion of major generation additions, cost-conscious management team and a business model focused on electric and natural gas utility operations, S&P said.
