Fitch rates Wisconsin refunding bonds A+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an underlying A+ rating to the approximately $210 million State of Wisconsin general fund annual appropriation refunding bonds of 2008, series C (taxable floating-rate notes), expected by negotiation the week of May 21.

The series 2008C bonds are due May 1, 2032 and are callable beginning May 1, 2013 at 103.3%.

The rating is an underlying rating as the bonds are expected to be insured. Fitch also affirmed the A+ rating on $1.65 billion in outstanding general fund annual appropriation bonds.
