Moody's rates Banco Santander program Aa3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned long and short-term global local currency senior debt ratings of Aa3/Prime-1 to Banco Santander (Mexico), SA's senior debt program of certificados bursátiles bancarios, certificados de deposito bancario, pagares con rendimiento liquidable al vencimiento and bonos bancarios estructurados of up to Ps. 42 billion.

At the same time, Moody's said it assigned long and short-term foreign currency senior debt ratings of A1/Prime-1 to the program.

On its Mexican national-scale, Moody's de México said it assigned its Aaa.mx long-term and MX-1 short-term senior debt ratings to the program. The outlook is stable.

Moody's added that it also assigned Aa3/Prime-1 global local currency, A1/Prime-1 foreign currency and Aaa.mx/MX-1 senior debt ratings to the bank's Ps. 15 billion sub-program of bonos bancarios estructurados, which is part of the above mentioned senior debt program.
