Willis Group files automatic shelf

New York, June 21 - Willis Group Holdings Ltd. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3ASR with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Covered by the shelf are debt securities, guarantees, preferred stock, common stock, warrants, units, stock purchase contracts and stock purchase units. Securities may be structured as convertibles.

The London-based insurance broker said proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
