S&P rates Williams Partners A-2

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed its BBB corporate credit rating on Williams Partners LP.

At the same time, S&P assigned its A-2 short-term corporate credit rating to the partnership and its A-2 short-term rating to Williams Partners' $2 billion commercial paper program.

According to S&P's rating criteria, the BBB corporate credit rating on Williams Partners maps to a commercial paper rating of A-2.

The partnership will use the program for working capital requirements and other partnership purposes.
