Fitch might lift Williams

Fitch Ratings said it placed the ratings of Williams Cos., Inc., Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Co., LLC and Northwest Pipeline LLC on rating watch positive.

Williams’ long-term issuer default rating and senior unsecured rating are BBB-. Its short-term issuer default rating is F3, and this rating has also been placed on rating watch positive.

Transco's and Northwest Pipeline's long-term issuer default ratings and senior unsecured ratings are BBB.

The agency said the rating watch positive reflects an assessment that upcoming events are likely to provide durable outcomes to recent positive trends.

The positive watch will be resolved based on ongoing events that, in the short term, are expected to result in improved leverage and strategic execution, Fitch said.
