Fitch ups Williams

Fitch Ratings said it upgraded the issuer default ratings and senior unsecured ratings of Williams Cos., Inc., Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp. and Northwest Pipeline Corp. following the consummation of its previously announced sale of its remaining power business.

Fitch said that the ratings upgrades are as follows: Williams' issuer default rating at BBB-, senior unsecured at BBB- and junior subordinated convertible debentures at BB; Transcontinental's issuer default rating at BBB and senior unsecured BBB; and Northwest's issuer default rating at BBB and senior unsecured debt at BBB.

According to the agency, the outlook for all three is now stable.

In addition, Fitch said it has revised the outlook of Williams Partners, LP to positive from stable following the signing of a letter of intent to acquire a membership interest in Williams' Wamsutter system.
