Wickes interim CFO hiring approved

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Aug. 12 - Wickes Holdings, LLC obtained court approval to discontinue the services of its chief restructuring officer and to hire Scott W. Castell as interim chief financial officer, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Wickes said in an effort to operate the business in a more efficient manner, it has determined the company no longer needs the services of chief restructuring officer Michael Buenzow of FTI Consulting, Inc.

Wickes' chief financial officer, Richard Clausing, resigned effective July 31.

Castell is Wickes' former chief financial officer. Under a proposed consulting agreement, Wickes will pay Castell $120 per hour to serve as interim chief financial officer.

Wickes, a Wheeling, Ill., furniture retailer, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 3. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10212.
