Wickes granted two-month exclusivity extension to file plan

Portland, Ore., Oct. 14 - Wickes Holdings LLC obtained an extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The exclusive plan-filing period was extended to Nov. 30 from Sept. 1 and the solicitation period to Jan. 29 from Oct. 31.

According to the motion requesting the approval, the company has hired a broker to market its remaining piece of real estate. In addition, Wickes said it has been recently addressing litigation issues.

Wickes, a Wheeling, Ill., furniture retailer, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 3, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10212.
