WHX posts $30,000 April operating loss

Pittsburgh, June 15 - WHX Corp. reported a $30,000 operating loss for April on sales of $31.31 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In March, the company posted $694,000 in operating income on sales of $40.3 million.

The net loss for April was $2.08 million, up from March's $1.27 million net loss.

Cash on April 30 was $14.13 million, compared to $14.49 million at the end of March.

WHX, a New York-based metals and construction supplies manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on March 7. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-11444.
