Moody's: No change for Westpac

Moody's Investors Service said Westpac Banking Corp.'s market update held no implications for its Aa1/prime-1 deposit and debt ratings and its bank financial strength rating of B.

The outlook is stable.

Westpac's guidance on asset quality and financial performance were within expectations, Moody's said.

Although Westpac's asset quality is weakening, the agency said, it is off a strong base after many years of very favorable credit conditions.
