Artis REIT will use new debentures to repay credit facilities

Chicago, April 26 – Artis Real Estate Investment Trust will use proceeds from a best-efforts offer of C$200 million of debentures to repay debt outstanding under the company’s credit facilities.

A portion of the proceeds will be used for general trust purposes.

Artis is a Canadian real estate trust with a portfolio of industrial, office and retail properties in Canada and the United States. Based in Winnipeg, Man., the issuer was previously called Westfield Real Estate Investment Trust.
