New Issue: Western Massachusetts Electric places $50 million of 10-year notes

Charlotte, N.C., June 29 – Western Massachusetts Electric Co., doing business as Eversource Energy, issued $50 million of 2.75% senior notes, series H, due 2026.

The notes were issued to institutional accredited investors in a private placement exempt from the registration requirements of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, on June 23, according to a form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company may at any time or from time to time, prior to the par call date of March 15, 2026, redeem any part of the notes in an amount not less than 5% of the total principal amount of the notes then outstanding in the case of a partial prepayment at the redemption price of par plus a make-whole amount.

The utility is based in Springfield, Mass.
