Western Gas files $1.25 billion shelf covering units, debt securities

Knoxville, Tenn., June 16 - Western Gas Partners LP and Western Gas Partners Finance Corp. jointly filed a $1.25 billion debt securities and common units shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common units and debt securities to be offered by the parent and debt securities which will be sold by the subsidiary.

The debt securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general partnership purposes.

The Woodlands, Texas-based Western Gas is a limited partnership formed by Anadarko to own, operate, acquire and develop midstream energy assets.
