Fitch hikes Banco Nacional de Costa Rica

Fitch Ratings said it raised Banco Nacional de Costa’s long-term foreign- and local-currency issuer default ratings to BB- from B.

The upgrades follow a similar action on Costa Rica’s sovereign rating and an assessment of potential support from the government if needed, Fitch said.

The outlook is stable.
