Weigh-Tronix obtains 10th amendment and limited waiver to its credit facility

By Sara Rosenberg

New York, June 25 - Weigh-Tronix LLC entered into the 10th amendment and limited waiver of its amended and restated credit agreement, effective June 21 through July 19, 2002, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Specifically, the amendment waives the company's default on its loan due to the non-compliance with certain financial covenants and a failure to make an interest payment on 12½% senior subordinated notes due 2010.

In addition, the company is expected to restructure and repay its loan on or before July 19.

Maximum borrowing capacity is limited to $37 million during this waiver period, the SEC filing said.

Fleet National Bank is administrative agent and security agent.

Weigh-Tronix is a Providence, R.I. marketer and servicer of industrial and retail weighing systems.
