DBRS: Webster Financial trend stable

DBRS Inc. said it confirmed Webster Financial Corp.'s BBB issuer and senior debt ratings and changed the trend to stable from negative.

The action recognizes the progress Webster has made in improving its profitability and credit metrics during the past several quarters, according to the agency.

Supporting Webster's ratings is its solid funding profile, which is underpinned by an ample core deposit base, the agency said.
