WCI Steel Chapter 11 case transferred to Ohio Northern court's Akron division; case number changed

Pittsburgh, Jan. 4 - WCI Steel, Inc.'s Chapter 11 bankruptcy case was transferred to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio's Akron division from its Cleveland division, according to a Wednesday court filing.

Judge Marilyn Shea-Stonum has been assigned to the case, and the case number has been reassigned to 05-81439 from 03-44662.

The Warren, Ohio-based steel company filed for bankruptcy Sept. 16, 2003.
