S.A.C. invests more in WCI

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 22 - S.A.C. Capital Associates, LLC bought 12,000 shares of WCI Communities, Inc.'s stock on July 31 priced between $9.55 and $9.99 each.

The transactions were reported in a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

S.A.C. owns 4,012,000 or 9.5% of the Bonita Springs, Fla.-based lifestyle communities development company's stock.

In March, S.A.C. reported the purchase of 485,800 shares of the company's stock between Jan. 19 and March 19 priced from $19.62 to $22.73 each. At that time, the investor owned 4 million shares, and the same 9.5% of WCI, and was considering becoming active in the WCI, Carl Icahn discussions.
