New Issue: Bladex sells Ps. 1.5 billion three-year certificados bursatiles

Chicago, April 28 – Panama’s Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior, SA (Bladex) said it issued Ps. 1.5 billion of three-year floating-rate certificados bursatiles, which will be its third issue in the Mexican capital market.

Interest will be 28-day TIIE plus 60 basis points.

The transaction was subscribed by a diversified investor base made up of pension funds, insurance companies, commercial banks and brokerage firms, according to a company press release.

The arrangers were Casa de Bolsa BBVA Bancomer, SA de CV, Grupo Financiero BBVA Bancomer and HSBC Casa de Bolsa, SA de CV, Grupo Financiero HSBC.

“We will deploy these funds to continue supporting trade throughout the region, and especially in the Mexican market,” Christopher Schech, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Bladex, said in a company press release.

The Panama City-based supranational bank was established by the central banks of Latin American and Caribbean countries.
