Waste Management sets Nov. 30 redemption date for 6.1% notes due 2018

Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 31 – Waste Management, Inc. will redeem its $590 million of 6.1% senior notes due 2018 on Nov. 30, according to a press release.

The redemption price will be par plus a make-whole premium that will be calculated three business days before the redemption, plus accrued interest.

Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co. NA is the trustee.

As previously announced, the company will redeem the notes using proceeds from $750 million of new 3.15% senior notes due 2027. That issue is set to close on Nov. 8.

Any excess proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Waste Management is a Houston-based provider of waste management environmental services.
