Fitch rates Waste Management notes BBB

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a rating of BBB to the $600 million of 6.125% senior unsecured notes issued by Waste Management, Inc.

The issuer default rating is BBB.

The outlook is stable.

Ratings reflect the waste services company's financial flexibility and free cash flow generation potential despite a recession-driven decline in collection and disposal volumes, the agency said.
