S&P gives Waste Management notes A-

S&P said it assigned its A- issue-level rating to Waste Management Inc.’s proposed senior unsecured notes. Waste Management plans to issue the notes in four tranches with maturities in 2025, 2028, 2031 and 2050.

Proceeds will be used to pay down its $3 billion 364-day revolving credit facility, repay the $400 million outstanding of its 4.6% senior notes due March 2021 and general corporate purposes.

All of S&P’s other Waste Management ratings, including the A- long-term issuer credit rating, are unchanged.
