New Issue: Washington Suburban Sanitary, Md., sells $180 million in bonds, BABs

New York, Sept. 22 - The Washington Suburban Sanitary District of Maryland sold $180 million in series 2009 consolidated public improvement bonds Tuesday, according to a pricing sheet.

The bonds were sold on a competitive basis with Wachovia Bank NA winning the bid. The true interest costs came in at 2.04% and 4.86%.

The sale included $90 million in series 2009A bonds and $90 million in series 2009B Build America Bonds.

The 2009A bonds are due 2010 to 2019 with coupons from 3% to 5%. The 2009A true interest cost came in at 2.04%.The 2009B bonds are due 2020 to 2029 with coupons from 4.35% to 5%. The 2009B BABs have a TIC of 4.86%.

Proceeds will be used to construct and reconstruct water supply facilities within the district, as well as to replace short-term debt.
