Washington Mutual looks to hire Kosturos as CRO

Pittsburgh, Oct. 14 - Washington Mutual, Inc. requested court approval to hire William C. Kosturos of Alvarez & Marsal North America, LLC as its chief restructuring officer, dating back to Oct. 2, according to a Saturday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

WaMu is also looking to hire Alvarez & Marsal as its restructuring adviser and to hire more of the adviser's employees to help with the company's restructuring.

A hearing is scheduled for Oct. 30.

Washington Mutual, a Seattle-based savings and loan holding company, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sept. 26. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-12229.
