Moody's rates Warsaw program A2

Moody's Investors Service said it has assigned an A2 rating, with stable outlook, to the City of Warsaw's new medium-term note program, sized at €1.3 billion.

The agency said that the program is expected to be used for general government purposes.

According to Moody's, the program's A2 rating is based on Warsaw's good operating performance in recent years, which has enabled the city to maintain relatively low debt ratios.

The rating also takes into account likely future indebtedness due to the implementation of an ambitious capex program by the city, the agency added.
