Moody's ups Warnaco

Moody's Investors Service said it upgraded the ratings of Warnaco Inc. and The Warnaco Group Inc. The outlook was revised to positive from stable.

Moody's upped Warnaco Inc.'s $210 million guaranteed senior unsecured notes due 2013 to B1 from B2 and the Warnaco Group's senior implied rating to Ba3 from B1 and issuer rating to B2 from B3.

Moody's said the upgrade reflects the progress made in the strategic restructuring of the company, which includes repositioning its distribution channels and diversifying its brand portfolio, as well as improved operating performance.
