Moody’s rates Disney notes A2
Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 rating to Walt Disney Co.’s proposed note offering.
The proposed issuance will be denominated in Canadian dollars of benchmark size and have a tenor of seven years. The notes will be pair passu with the company's existing senior unsecured debt.
Proceeds will go toward general corporate purposes.
Moody’s said it expects that Disney will continue to maintain credit metrics consistent with its current debt rating.
The outlook is stable.
Moody’s said the A2 senior unsecured debt ratings and Prime-1 commercial paper rating reflect Disney’s position as the world's largest media conglomerate with a diverse portfolio of powerful brand names and iconic media assets with long operating histories.
