S&P rates Disney notes A

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its A issue-level rating to the Walt Disney Co.’s proposed debt securities. The company plans to split the debt offering into three-, five- and 10-year notes and use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes.

“Our A/A-1 corporate credit ratings on Disney reflect our view of the company’s business risk profile as ‘strong,’” S&P said in a news release.
