Moody's rates Disney notes A2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 rating to Walt Disney Co.'s proposed new senior notes. The $500 million of new notes will have a 10-year term and it is anticipated that they will be pari passu with the company's existing senior debt.

Proceeds from the issuance will be used for general corporate purposes.

The offering will not impact the company's long-term debt ratings as the transaction is not expected to have a material impact on the company's strong credit metrics, the agency added.
