Wachovia to sell 0% enhanced growth notes linked to Nasdaq-100

Seattle, April 4 - Wachovia Corp. plans to price an offering of enhanced growth notes due March 5, 2008 linked to the Nasdaq-100 Index, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Payout at maturity will be par plus triple any positive return on the index. The payout will be capped at between $11.80 and $12.00 per $10.00 note, with the exact cap to be determined at pricing.

Holders will participate fully in any decline.

Wachovia has applied to list the securities on the Nasdaq National Market under the symbol "WSNX."

Wachovia Securities will be the underwriter.
