Wachovia to sell enhanced growth notes linked to Goldman Sachs Gold Excess Return

New York, Dec. 6 - Wachovia Corp. plans to price an offering of three-year 0% enhanced growth securities linked to the Goldman Sachs Gold Excess Return index, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times any positive return on the index. The payout will have a to-be-determined cap.

Investors will participate in 50% of any decline.

The securities are expected to settle in December.

Wachovia Securities will be the underwriter.
