New Issue: Wachovia prices $5.07 million notes linked to equity asset class basket

New York, Dec. 12 - Wachovia Corp. issued $5,070,800 of principal-protected notes due Dec. 1, 2010 linked to an equity asset class basket.

The payout at maturity is 110% of the average return on a basket of four indexes if the average basket value is greater than the initial basket value. The average is calculated once a year. Investors will receive a minimum of par.

The basket is made up of the S&P 500 index with a 35% weight, the S&P MidCap 400 index with a 20% weight, the Russell 2000 index with a 20% weight and the MSCI EAFE index with a 25% weight. The basket is rebalanced annually to its initial weights.
