Moody's rates Interacciones debt Ba2

Moody's de Mexico said it assigned Ba2 long-term global-local currency and A1.mx Mexican National Scale senior debt ratings to Banco Interacciones, SA’s issuance of certificados bursatiles bancarios. The outlook is stable.

The Ps. 2 billion of certificates will mature in 1,092 days.

The agency said the Ba2 rating derives from the bank's ba3 standalone baseline credit assessment and Moody's assessment of a high probability of systemic support in case of stress.

The ba3 standalone baseline credit assessment reflects the bank's niche business model, which focuses heavily on collateralized lending to Mexican states and municipalities and their suppliers, Moody’s said.
