Vitesse Semiconductor investor buys more shares, boosts stake to 9.7%

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 5 - Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. investors led by Kopp Investment Advisors, LLC bought a net 2,780,855 shares in a series of buy and sell transactions between Aug. 11 and Sept. 24.

The shares were priced from $0.25 to $0.41 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed on Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Between June 17 and Aug. 7, Kopp bought a net 369,800 shares priced from $0.25 to $0.44 each, a prior SEC filing said.

Kopp beneficially owns 22,400,070 shares, or 9.7%, of the Camarillo, Calif.-based company.

Vitesse is a designer, developer and marketer of semiconductor services for communications and storage networks.
