Visteon shareholder withdraws bid to delay plan confirmation hearing

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 24 - Visteon Corp. shareholder Ron Reina withdrew his letter asking the court to postpone the company's plan of confirmation hearing, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

As previously reported, the court confirmed the plan on Aug. 31.

On Aug. 30 Reina, and separately, shareholder Chris Norris asked the court to postpone the hearing because they believed shareholders' interests had not been represented.

Reina was also petitioning for an examiner.

Visteon, a Van Buren Township, Mich., global automotive supplier, filed for bankruptcy on May 28, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-11786.
