San Diego, Nov. 29 - The Virtus Strategic Growth Fund announced modifications to its portfolio management strategies and team, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund now invests at least 80% of its assets in equity securities of large capitalization companies that, at the time of initial purchase, have market capitalizations within the range of the Russell 1000 Growth index. Previously, the fund invested at least 65% of its assets in such companies.

The portfolio co-managers are now Doug Foreman and Gregory Toppe. Previously, the portfolio manager was Douglas Couden.

Los Angeles-based Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Management, LLC is the fund's investment subadviser.
