Virtus High Yield Fund appoints Albrycht and Jennings as managers

San Diego, Dec. 21 - The Virtus High Yield Fund has modified its portfolio management team, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

David L. Albrycht and Kyle A. Jennings are now portfolio managers of the fund under subadviser Newfleet Asset Management, LLC, formerly SCM Advisors, LLC.

Albrycht is a portfolio manager and chief investment officer - multi-sector fixed-income strategies at Newfleet. Previously, he was executive managing director from 2008 to 2011 and vice president from 2005 to 2008 of fixed income at Goodwin Capital Advisers, Inc. He managed fixed-income portfolios for Goodwin affiliates since 1991.

Jennings is a managing director at Newfleet. A member of the corporate credit research team since 1998, Jennings is sector manager for the leveraged loan sector of the multi-sector fixed-income strategies of Newfleet. Previously, he was a managing director at Goodwin Capital.

Robert L. Bishop and Bradley Kane are no longer portfolio managers for the fund.

The fund's adviser is Virtus Investment Advisers, Inc.
