S&P rates Virginia bonds AAA

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an AAA rating and a stable outlook to the Commonwealth of Virginia's $94.3 million general obligation bonds, series 2008A.

S&P also affirmed its AAA/stable long-term rating for bonds issued by the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority and its AA+/stable rating for the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority's educational facility revenue bonds (State Board for Community Colleges-Tidewater College Downtown Campus), series 95.
